How can we help?
Booking a ride
How do I book a ride?
Open the app and allow location access. Enter where you want to go. Pick a vehicle: Bike, Bike Lite, Auto or Cab. The fare is shown for each before you book. Choose how you will pay and tap Book. We send your request to the nearest drivers. When one accepts, you see their name, photo, vehicle number and live location.
Which vehicles can I book?
Bike: quickest for one person with light luggage. Bike Lite: a lower-priced bike option. Auto: for short city trips with a little more room. Cab: for families, more people or luggage. What is available depends on your city; the app only shows vehicles that serve your pickup point.
Why could no driver be found?
We offer your ride to the drivers nearest to you. Each driver has a short time to accept. If nobody accepts, the search ends and you are not charged. This usually happens at busy times or when few drivers are near you. Please try again after a minute, try another vehicle type, or move to a main road.
Can I schedule a ride for later?
Yes. On the booking screen tap Schedule and pick a date and time. We start looking for a driver shortly before your pickup time and notify you when one is assigned. You can cancel a scheduled ride free of charge until 30 minutes before the pickup time.
What is the ride PIN and why should I share it?
The ride PIN is a 4-digit code shown on your ride screen. Tell it to the driver only after you have checked the vehicle number and are sitting in the vehicle. The ride starts only with the right PIN, so nobody else can start your ride. You can switch the PIN off in the app settings if you prefer.
How do I check that I am in the right vehicle?
Before you get in, match the vehicle number, the driver's photo and name with what the app shows. If anything does not match, do not start the ride. Cancel it and report it from Help.
Can I contact my driver?
Yes. After a driver accepts, use Call or Chat on the ride screen. Please do not share personal details in the chat.
The driver is asking me to cancel the ride. What should I do?
Do not cancel. A driver should not ask you to cancel. If the driver cannot come, they must cancel themselves, and you are not charged for that. Please report it from the ride in Help so we can take action.
Fares and payments
How is my fare calculated?
The fare is made of a base fare, a charge per km and a charge per minute of the trip. Depending on the trip it can also include: waiting charges, if the driver waited for you beyond the free minutes a night charge for rides between 10 PM and 6 AM a long-pickup charge if the driver had to come from far away a small platform fee and the applicable taxes Rates depend on your city and vehicle. The estimate is shown before you book, and the full breakdown is in the ride details.
Why is my final fare different from the estimate?
The estimate is based on the route and time when you booked. The final fare can change if: the trip took a longer route or more time (traffic, a changed drop point) the driver waited for you at pickup beyond the free minutes The full breakdown is in Rides → your ride → Fare details. If something looks wrong, tap Help on that ride.
How can I pay for a ride?
Cash: pay the driver at the end of the trip. Wallet: the fare is taken from your RideShare wallet. UPI: at the end of the trip the driver shows a QR code. Scan it with any UPI app; the ride closes by itself once the payment is received. Coins can pay for part of a fare, and coupons give a discount.
What are coins and how do I use them?
You earn coins on completed rides and through Refer & Earn. When you book, you can use coins to pay for up to 20% of the fare. Your coin balance is on the Wallet screen.
How do I use a coupon?
On the booking screen tap Apply coupon, choose an offer or type the code. The discount is shown before you book. If a coupon does not apply, the app tells you why: for example it has expired, it is for another vehicle type or city, or you have already used it.
How do I get the invoice for a ride?
Open Rides, choose the ride and tap Download invoice. The invoice is a PDF with the full fare breakdown.
I paid by UPI but the app still shows the ride as unpaid.
UPI payments are usually confirmed within a few seconds, at most a few minutes. Please do not pay a second time. If it is not confirmed after 10 minutes, raise a ticket from that ride with the UPI transaction ID. If the money reached us, the ride is marked paid; if it did not, your bank returns it.
Wallet and refunds
How do I add money to my wallet?
Open Wallet → Add money, enter an amount between ₹1 and ₹5,000 and choose how to pay: UPI, credit card, debit card or net banking. If a method has a charge, the app shows it before you pay. The money is added as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Money left my bank account but was not added to the wallet.
Most payments are confirmed within a few minutes, and the app keeps checking even if you closed it. While we wait, the top-up shows as Pending in your transactions. If the payment failed, the money is not taken; if your bank already debited it, the bank returns it within 5–7 working days. If it is still pending after an hour, raise a ticket with the order ID from your transactions.
Can I move my wallet balance to my bank account?
Not at the moment. Wallet money can be used for rides and parcels. You will be told in the app if bank transfers become available.
Where do refunds go?
Refunds for rides and parcels are added to your RideShare wallet, usually at once. You can see each refund in Wallet → Transactions.
How can I see my wallet history?
Wallet → Transactions lists every top-up, ride payment, refund, coupon bonus and adjustment. You can also download a statement as a PDF.
Cancellations
How do I cancel a ride?
On the ride screen tap Cancel ride and choose a reason. If a cancellation fee applies, the app shows the amount before you confirm.
Will I be charged for cancelling?
Cancelling soon after booking is free. A small cancellation fee can apply if you cancel after the driver has come a long way or has arrived at your pickup. The app always shows the fee before you confirm, and there is no fee when the driver cancels.
The driver cancelled my ride. What now?
You are not charged when the driver cancels. Please book again; we will look for another driver near you. If a driver cancels on you often, tell us from Help.
I was charged a cancellation fee unfairly.
Open Rides, choose the cancelled ride and tap Help. Tell us what happened, for example that the driver was not moving towards you. If the fee was wrong, we return it to your wallet.
Safety
What does the SOS button do?
During a ride, tap SOS on the ride screen. Our safety team gets your live location and ride details at once, and your trusted contacts are alerted. In an emergency, also call 112.
How do I add trusted contacts?
Go to Account → Safety → Trusted contacts and add the people you trust. They can get your live trip link and are alerted when you press SOS.
How do I share my trip with family?
On the ride screen tap Share trip. The link shows the driver, the vehicle and your live location until the ride ends, and it stops working after the ride.
How do I report a driver?
Open Rides, choose the ride and tap Help → Safety issue, or rate the ride and add a comment. Our safety team reads every report and may suspend the driver while it checks.
Lost items
I left something in the vehicle. What should I do?
Open Rides, choose the ride and tap Lost & found. Describe the item and send it. Our support team contacts the driver and tells you how to get the item back.
How long can I report a lost item?
Report it as soon as possible, ideally on the same day. Drivers are asked to hand over found items to the rider or to our support team.
Parcels
How do I send a parcel?
Choose Parcel on the home screen. Enter the pickup and drop addresses and the receiver's name and phone number. Pick the parcel size and type and choose how you will pay. A bike delivery partner picks it up and delivers it. You can track it live.
What are the pickup and delivery codes?
The pickup code is shared with the partner when they collect the parcel. The delivery code is sent to the receiver and must be told to the partner at handover. This makes sure the parcel goes to the right person.
What can I not send?
Do not send cash, jewellery or other valuables; illegal, dangerous or flammable items; alcohol or drugs; live animals; or anything leaking or badly packed. The partner can refuse a parcel that breaks these rules.
My parcel is late or damaged.
Open the parcel in your orders and tap Report an issue. Add photos if it is damaged. Our team will contact you with the ticket number shown.
Account and app
How do I change my name or email?
Go to Account → Edit profile, change the details and save. To change your phone number, contact support.
How does Refer & Earn work?
Share your code from Account → Refer & Earn. When your friend signs up with it and completes a ride, you both get a reward. The current reward is shown on that screen.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account → Delete account and confirm with the OTP. Your account is deleted after 30 days. If you log in again within those 30 days, the deletion is cancelled. Use your wallet balance first: it cannot be refunded after deletion.
I am not getting notifications.
Allow notifications for RideShare in your phone settings and keep battery saver off for the app. Log out and log in again if they still do not arrive.
How do I contact customer support?
Tap Help → New ticket and choose the topic; you can attach the ride it is about. You will see our replies in the app. You can also call +91 80558 85717 (Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 7 PM) or write to [email protected].
