How can we help?
Joining and documents
Which documents do I need to drive with RideShare?
A clear profile photo of your face Driving licence (front and back) Vehicle RC (front and back) Aadhaar card or PAN card A bank account or UPI ID for payouts All documents must be valid and in your name, except the RC, which can be for a rented or company vehicle.
How long does verification take?
Our team checks every document by hand. You get a notification for each document that is approved or rejected, and your account becomes active once all of them are approved.
My document was rejected. What should I do?
Open Account → Documents & vehicle. The rejected document shows the reason, for example a blurry photo or a name that does not match. Tap Fix now and upload a clear photo again; it goes back for review.
Why is my new profile photo not showing?
A new profile photo is checked by our team against your ID before riders see it. Until then your old photo stays. If it is rejected, the app tells you why so you can upload another.
My licence or RC is about to expire.
We remind you 15, 5 and 1 day before the expiry date. Upload the renewed document from Account → Documents & vehicle → Renew. If a document expires, your account is put on hold until the renewed one is approved.
Getting rides
How do I start getting rides?
Open the app and swipe to go On duty. Keep the app open or in the background with location on. Ride requests appear with the pickup, drop, distance and what you will earn.
How much time do I have to accept a ride?
A request stays on your screen for about 60 seconds. If you do not accept in time, it goes to the next driver. Accepting more requests keeps your acceptance rate high.
Why am I not getting ride requests?
Check these: You are On duty and have internet and location on Your wallet balance is not below the minimum allowed in your city All your documents are valid and your account is active You are inside your city's service area Battery saver is off for the app, and on Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo or Realme phones Autostart is on Few rides near you: open the demand map and move towards busy areas
What happens if my phone closes the app while I am on duty?
You stay on duty for 10 minutes and still get ride requests as notifications; opening one brings you back. If the app is not opened within 10 minutes, you are set off duty and get a "You are offline" notification. Turn on Autostart and switch off battery saver for the app to avoid this.
What is destination mode?
Set a place you want to go, for example home, and you only get rides that take you towards it. You can use it 2 times a day. It ends at midnight or when you go off duty.
How do I see where demand is high?
Open the demand map from the home screen. Busy areas are highlighted, and higher demand can mean higher fares. The map updates every few minutes.
During a ride
How do I start a ride?
When you reach the pickup, tap Arrived. Ask the rider for the 4-digit ride PIN, enter it and tap Start ride. Never start a ride without the rider in the vehicle.
The rider is not at the pickup point.
Call or chat with the rider from the ride screen. Waiting charges start after the free waiting minutes and are added to the fare. If the rider does not come or does not answer, cancel with the reason "Rider not at pickup".
How do I end a ride and collect payment?
At the drop, tap End ride. The app shows the amount to collect: Cash: collect the amount shown UPI: tap Show QR; the rider scans it with any UPI app, and the ride closes by itself when the money is received Wallet: the rider's wallet is charged, so there is nothing to collect
The rider wants to change the drop location.
Ask the rider to change the drop in their app so the fare is updated. Do not agree a separate price in cash; you are covered only for the fare in the app.
What if I must cancel a ride?
Cancel from the ride screen and choose the real reason. Frequent cancellations lower your account standing and can lead to a suspension, so cancel only when you really cannot do the ride.
Earnings and commission
How much commission does RideShare take?
RideShare takes a 15% commission on the ride fare, plus 18% GST on that commission. The rest is your earning. Each ride's breakdown shows the fare, the commission, the tax and what you earned.
How do I get paid for cash rides?
You keep the cash you collect. The commission and tax for that ride are taken from your RideShare wallet, so keep some balance in it.
How do I get paid for UPI and wallet rides?
Your earning for the ride is added to your RideShare wallet as soon as the ride is paid. You can withdraw it to your bank account or UPI.
Where can I see my earnings?
The Earnings tab shows today, this week and this month: rides, fares, commission, taxes and incentives. Weekly statements and tax invoices can be downloaded from Earnings → Statements.
A ride fare looks wrong.
Open the ride in Earnings and check the fare breakdown (distance, time, waiting, discounts). If it is still wrong, tap Report an issue on that ride. Our team checks it with the trip's GPS route.
Wallet and withdrawals
Why should I keep money in my wallet?
For cash rides, the commission and tax are taken from your wallet. Your wallet can go a little below zero, but once it passes the limit set for your city you stop getting ride requests until you add money.
How do I add money to my wallet?
Go to Wallet → Add money, enter the amount and pay by UPI, card or net banking. If a method has a charge, the app shows it before you pay. The balance updates once the payment is confirmed.
How do I withdraw my earnings?
Go to Wallet → Withdraw, enter the amount and choose your bank account or UPI ID. You confirm with an OTP. You can withdraw up to ₹5,000 a day, and the money reaches your account within 1 working day.
My withdrawal failed. Is my money lost?
No. If a transfer fails, for example because of wrong bank details, the full amount comes back to your RideShare wallet. Check your payout account in Account → Payout accounts and try again.
How do I change my bank account or UPI ID?
Go to Account → Payout accounts. You can keep one bank account and one UPI ID and choose which one is the default. A new account is checked before the first payout.
Incentives
How do incentives work?
The Incentives screen shows the programs running in your city, for example a bonus for completing a number of rides in a day or a week. Your progress updates after every completed ride.
When is the incentive paid?
When the program's period ends and you have met its target, the bonus is added to your wallet automatically. You can see it in Wallet → Transactions and in your weekly statement.
Why did I not get an incentive?
Check the program's conditions: only completed rides of the listed vehicle type, in the given time, count. Cancelled rides do not count. If you met the target and were not paid within a day after the period ended, contact support.
Ratings and account status
How is my rating calculated?
Your rating is the average of the stars riders gave you on recent rides. Being on time, polite and driving safely raises it. You can see what riders liked and what to improve in Account → Ratings.
What do the account status numbers mean?
Account → Account status shows your acceptance rate, cancellation rate, rating and safety complaints, each against its target. If one goes below the target your account is marked at risk; if it stays there, it can be suspended.
My account is on hold or suspended.
The app shows the reason. If it is an expired or rejected document, upload it again. If you think a suspension is wrong, tap Appeal on the Account status screen; we answer within 48 hours.
Safety
What does the SOS button do?
Tap SOS during a ride: our safety team gets your live location and ride details at once. In an emergency, also call 112. If you pressed it by mistake, cancel it from the same screen.
Why do I get speed warnings?
Each city has a speed limit for every vehicle type. The app warns you when you drive faster than the limit. After repeated warnings on one trip, the trip is reported to our safety team.
How do I report a rider?
After the ride, rate the rider and tap Report rider, or use Help → Report rider and choose the ride. Our team contacts you if needed.
Can my family see where I am during a ride?
Yes. Add trusted contacts in Safety and switch on Share live trip. They get a link when a ride starts.
Parcel deliveries
Who gets parcel requests?
Parcel deliveries go to bike partners. A parcel request shows the pickup, the drop and what you will earn, just like a ride.
How do I pick up and deliver a parcel?
At the pickup, check the parcel and ask the sender for the pickup code. At the drop, hand it over only after the receiver tells you the delivery code. Never open a parcel.
Can I refuse a parcel?
Yes. Refuse it if it looks dangerous, illegal, leaking or badly packed, or if it holds cash or valuables. Cancel with the reason and tell support.
Account and app
How do I change my vehicle or phone number?
Contact support. A new vehicle needs its RC checked again before you can drive it with RideShare.
How do I change the app language?
Go to Account → Language. The app is available in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Punjabi.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account → Delete account. Withdraw your wallet balance first, or clear any amount you owe. Confirm with the OTP; the account is deleted after 30 days, and logging in again within 30 days cancels the deletion.
How do I contact driver support?
Tap Help → New ticket and choose the topic; you can attach the ride it is about, and replies appear in the app. You can also call +91 80558 85717 (Mon–Sat, 9 AM – 7 PM) or write to [email protected].
